1. Notify in advance before coming to someone’s house

Just like the month-long celebration of Ramadan, Aidilfitri is also celebrated for a month. We often say “raya is for a month” to continue enjoying Aidilfitri with grandeur. However, it does not mean that we can visit someone’s house anytime we like. It is better to notify in advance before visiting someone’s house. Who knows, they may also be busy as they want to celebrate Hari Raya at other people’s houses.

2. Monitor the behavior of small children

It is natural for children to want to explore new things, play and have fun. Some children are also hyperactive. They are not wrong, but parents need to play an important role in monitoring and controlling their behavior.

While parents are excited to visit relatives or acquaintances’ houses, they should not be too distracted to the point that they allow their children to do things that may cause discomfort to the host.

3. Eat Raya cookies in moderation

It is undeniable that Raya cookies are served to guests. It is not wrong to enjoy them and have them repeatedly, but guests should remember that the host will have more guests coming. If the Raya cookies have wrappers like paper cups, guests should not throw them away everywhere. It is better to collect them in one place and ask permission to go to the kitchen to dispose of them properly.

4. Do not reveal the host’s secrets

Enter someone’s house in a state of blindness and leave the house silently. Whatever you see, hear or experience in the host’s house, do not talk about it to others. This is also considered a form of respect for fellow human beings in maintaining privacy. Islam also emphasizes that one should never reveal someone else’s secrets.
